A large number of these beautiful creatures
are severely injured after running afoul with mankind.
Each year, eagles are shot, poisoned, and hit by cars and planes.
Approximately
60% of these birds lose the ability to survive in the wild, and
therefore cannot be released.
There
are few facilities in the U.S. equipped to care for these victims, and
many are euthanized. Because the
Bald Eagle remains "threatened" under the Endangered Species Act, we
believe that preservation of every one of these raptors is morally
imperative. Even though our eagles will never soar again,
their magnetic
presence deeply affects us, and they epitomize the plight of our
environment. "Walk With the Eagles" offers the public a
unique
and incredible eagle experience—one where we invite you to
enter the eagle's world.
