Dagorhir Battle Games is a national organization devoted the safe recreation of medieval and fantasy battles. Dagorhir boasts chapters in almost all fifty states, and is now spreading to include several international chapters. Members gather several times a month [all year long], and participate in battles ranging from a few fighters to several hundred combatants. Members not only practice in combat arts, but also wear the costumes, armor, and equipment of ages past. Outside of battle the members of Dagorhir study crafts such as leather working and armor building, and partake in the more social aspects of history such as feasts, music, and story telling.

            The Local chapter of Dagorhir is called Tartarus Invictus, and they are proud to attend the Hawk Creek Renaissance Festival this year and hopefully for many years to come. The members of Tartarus Invictus include several units, including Roman soldiers, Fantasy warriors from the land of Narnia, and a Mercenary company known as the Silver Hawks. Aside from several live combat demonstrations the members of Tartarus Invictus are also available to speak about their hobby, demonstrate their equipment, and even give a sword fighting lesson or two!
