Training & Enrichment

This year we have added a NEW class
to the 2007 course schedule! Animal Training & Enrichment will cover
topics such as the history of training, an introduction to animal
training, positive vs. negative reinforcement, motivation & enrichment.
Guest instructor Emily Insalaco, Denver Zoo Manager of Behavior Programs,
will offer her expertise to help answer all your tough training
questions!
- Learn the Latest Techniques
to encourage appropriate behavior & healthy habits for any
zoo animal or pet in your life!
- Enrich
the lives of the animals under your care, learn how to
provide a greater quality of life through various enrichment
exercises.
- Get an Inside Look at a
professional trainer in action! Instructors experience
includes the Aquarium of Niagara, Steve Martin's Natural
Encounters, Toledo Zoo, Texas State Fair Traveling Show &
Disney's Animal Kingdom!
- Increase your Ability
with hands on activities that will help students understand
the important concepts of animal training and be able to put
them to use!
Location: Hawk Creek Wildlife Center, East Aurora, NY
Dates: May 5th & 6th, 2007, 9-5pm
